I designed the graphics for my sonic events Open to Interpretation ( Lincoln Drill Hall, August 2010 )
& THE MERRYWEATHER MESMERIC MOOD MODULATOR ( Lincoln Castle, September 2010 ) . They took the form of posters, web publicity, tickets & handouts.
For my sonic event Take Time - held at Lincoln Drill Hall, March 20th 2010 - I designed the poster/flyer & a handout using the same graphic. Once inside the sound environment, there were leaflets on the seats representing timelines - see Look Now.
For my sound installation "Staged" - held at Lincoln Drill Hall, Nov 28th 2009 - I designed the poster/flyer in the style of old theatre handbills & made a programme in a similar style. Once inside the sound environment, there were flyers on the seats with a slightly different wording - see Look Now.
I designed the poster/flyer for my sound installation Anagram, June '09,
using purely lettering to highlight the "electronics"/"stone circle" anagram.
From the late 1990s to the present I've designed a number of flyers, posters, business cards, letter-headings
& assorted publicity using computer graphics software.
In the last couple of years, for example, I did the graphics for the programme, poster & flyer for Fin du Temps'
Music for the Beginning & End of Time concert, June 2008,
the leaflet for " Time 2 Be " therapy project & a few invitations.
While I was keyboard player in the band Gloria Mundi ( 1974 - 78 ) I designed the graphics for our diy punk fliers,
posters, backdrops, badges & " the Program " - a 4-page, b/w gig handout containing tour dates, collaged photos & lyrics.
Later, when working as assistant for Combo Graphics, London, in the mid 1980s,
I observed & learnt cut & paste technique - in the old money.
As a member of the Big T Pot cafe ( 1996 - 2003 ) one of my roles was to design the menus, fliers & signs.
